Opportunities for Service

In addition to the opportunities for service provided through the Women's Circles and the Men's Group, our Mission and Service Committee invites the whole congregation to participate in ongoing and special projects.
Food Pantry One of the main ways in which we reach out in service to our local community is through our Food Pantry which is open each Wednesday morning. This pantry is supported by the whole congregation through gifts of food and money throughout the year. Volunteers are always needed to "staff" the pantry on Wednesday mornings, to "bag" on Tuesdays, as well as to "shop" for the pantry at other times during the week.
Community Organizations At different times during the year the church provides opportunities for persons to share in the ongoing work of local community organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, StopOver House, the Faith Clinic, and the Jackson County Christmas Fund.
Church Office Betty Blighton, our church secretary, is always appreciative of those who are able to assist with special projects at our church office. An ongoing need is to fold, collate and prepare for mailing our church newsletter which is mailed twice a month, as well as to collate and fold our weekly bulletins.
The bulletin and newsletter will again provide further information on the service opportunities available through our congregation.
If you need more information about any of these opportunities please contact the church office at 526-2430
