Children Church will not be held this morning so that our children can share in this service led by our young people. Nursery care is available for children five years old and younger before and after the Time with Our Children. The green paraments on the pulpit and communion table which are being used for the first time this morning have been made available through memorials given to the church in memory of Milton G. Wynn. All adults are invited to share in one of our Sunday School classes which are offered each week in addition to our classes for all younger ages. The class in the parlor next Sunday will be entitled, "Isaiah Calls for True Worship," based on Isaiah 1:10-11, 14-20. Upstairs in Room 2 the class will be using the texts in our Worship Service: Psalm 42:1-5 and Luke 9:28-43. Our Young Adult Class will be meeting in Room 6 Upstairs will be studying, "Surprising Things Jesus Said." Next Sunday in the absence of Huw Christopher, our pastor, our Worship Service will be led by the Rev. Dr. W. Harvey Jenkins, Jr., of Panama City, the former Presbytery Executive of the Presbytery of Florida. His sermon topic will be, "Highs, Lows, and Ordinary Time," based on Psalm 42:1-5 and Luke 9:28-43. Our Food Pantry Offering for June will be received next Sunday. Huw and Rachel Christopher will be leaving on Wednesday of this week for a time of vacation with their son, Micol, and his fiancee, Chin Lam, in California. He will be back in the office on the afternoon of Friday, June 22. Congratulations are extended to Louise and Tim Spivey in the birth of a daughter, Louise Kathryn Eleanor Spivey on Friday, June 1, and to grandparents, Lou and Tom Wilkinson, and great-grandmother, Louise Daffin; and to Eleanor and Travis Lawson, in the birth of a son, John Lee Lawson, Tuesday, May 29, to great-grandmother, Louise Daffin. SummerFest 2007 with the theme, "Using Our Gifts in the Service of God" will be held on Tuesday - Thursday, June 26-28, from 5:00 until 7:30 and will include recreation, crafts for children and youth, a time of indepth study for adults, drama, supper (covered dish one night and catered the other two nights) and a closing program in the sanctuary. (A nursery for children below 3 years of age will be provided each night from 5:00 until 6:30 so that parents may take part more fully in the program.)
