May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you. Leader: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Unison: whose love has been made known to us in Jesus Christ. Leader: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Unison: whose presence and comfort we know in our lives through the Holy Spirit. Leader: With all God's people let us worship this holy God, Unison: the great One in Three! * HYMN OF PRAISE TO THE TRIUNE GOD No. 139 Italian Hymn "Come, Thou Almighty King" CALL TO CONFESSION based on Romans 5:5 UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION Gracious God, our Creator, you have given to us the beauty and bounty of this world. So often we see all of its beauty without appreciating it as your handiwork. We enjoy the blessings of its bounty frequently without expressing our gratitude to you. Forgive us, we pray. Lord Jesus Christ, you have shown us the love and grace of God through your life, death and resurrection. Yet we have not always appreciated the amazing nature of that grace and love. Forgive us, we pray. Holy Spirit, you come to us to assure us of God's presence, power and love in our lives. Frequently, though, we become so centered on ourselves that we fail to remember that God is with us. We live so often as if everything depended upon us rather than claiming your power. We have not always been content in being your children because we forget that we are loved with a love from which nothing in life or in death can separate us. Forgive us, we pray.
